Children under 21 years of age may apply for a IR2 child visa to travel to the US to live with their parent who has custody or permission from the other parent to take the child to live in the US.

US sponsors must prove you can support your fiancee above the US poverty line, which can be found on the US Department of Health and Human Services website.  IR2 child visa applicants can have a co-sponsor to help them meet the income requirements if they cannot meet them on their own. 

IR2 child visa applicants do not have to adjust their status or file for removal of conditions after arrival in the US, which saves significant time and expenses.  IR2 child visa applicants will receive an official 10 year green card in the mail 2 - 3 months after arrival in the US.

Please note that our fee to process a IR2 child visa application can be significantly reduced by 2/3 the cost by filing the application concurrently with the foreign parent's IR1 spouse visa application.

IR1 child visa applications normally take 8 months to process depending on the caseload of USCIS and US Embassy if the US sponsor resides in the US.
